Scorpio Electric has revealed the official name of its flagship model: Lambda Scorpii (‘LS’). Additionally, the model has achieved EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (‘WVTA’) successfully. This significant milestone represents a crucial turning point for both Scorpio Electric and Singapore’s innovation sector.
LS is the first electric motorcycle entirely designed and built in Singapore to obtain WVTA certification, complying with all the European Union’s safety, environmental, and technical requirements as outlined in Regulation (EU) No. 168/2013.
Engineered from the ground up, built to global standards
With this prestigious EU WVTA certification, Lambda Scorpii has demonstrated full compliance with European safety protocols, environmental regulations, and technical requirements for L3e-A1 category motorcycles. The rigorous approval process included comprehensive conformity verification and thorough production facility inspections.

Taking its name from a star within the Scorpius constellation, Lambda Scorpii embodies Scorpio Electric’s distinct design philosophy, heralding a new era for the brand. The name encapsulates the brand’s core values: daring design, robust performance, and intelligent technology tailored for the contemporary, eco-aware rider.
As Singapore prepares to celebrate its SG60 National Day, this milestone also highlights local innovation, showcasing a completely designed and engineered electric motorcycle from Singapore, now approved and ready for global markets.
