B2B | THE PACK has been approached by various industrial and automotive designers with all their concepts and renders, but we like to focus on sharing information about electric motorbikes that are currently being produced and have the potential to become sustainable solutions. However, Dante Bellini, an industrial designer, shared his plans for a new electric dirt bike with a minimalist design. Those who know me are aware of my love for minimal design and the KISS principle – keeping designs as simple as possible.
But let’s listen to Dante’s perspective on his beloved Dirt Lizard:
“The concept for this motorcycle originated from a collaboration between myself and an industrial designer friend from Argentina. Our goal was to create an electric dirt bike together.
In my opinion, the reason for the success of electric motorcycles lies in their quality and price ratio. Due to high investment values in tooling, manufacturers often use lower quality components in order to make the final product more affordable. However, this is just my observation and not a universal rule.
My initial vision for the Dirt Lizard was a cost-effective and streamlined motorcycle, free from plastic components and produced with minimal parts. I wanted to create an eco-friendly and sustainable option that required little investment in tooling, allowing us to focus on the highest quality components for an affordable price.
As for the name, it came to me while I was traveling with my family in the countryside. Unfortunately, on our journey, I accidentally ran over a small lizard and it made me quite sad. In memory of the poor creature, I decided to use its name for my project as a small tribute.”
These are just preliminary sketches, and Dante has a long way to go before his concept can become a reality. Nevertheless, THE PACK wish him all the best!
