Zeger “Ziggy” Verbeke (Belgium) is a social-cultural worker who not only plays a key role in the new social project KLOEN E-Adventure but he is currently undergoing training to become an enduro riding school instructor. With his passion for off-road riding, Ziggy plans to incorporate electric enduro motorbikes into the KLOEN E-Adventure project and establish an electric division for both youths and adults at Enduro Fun Bikers (EFB).
KLOEN E-Adventure
KLOEN is a Belgium-based organization located in Roeselare. It brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the socio-cultural, political, business, and sports worlds. People of all ages and sizes, young or old, voluntarily work together to plan unique and fun events. The funds raised from these activities are utilized to promote and assist trained and experienced clowns who work with patients in hospitals. Ziggy has launched a new program called KLOEN E-Adventure that strives to take their efforts to a higher level.
Assisted by skilled pilots, their mission is to visit individuals of all ages who are facing serious illnesses or social difficulties. The aim is to give them an opportunity that was once only a distant dream, and perhaps even beyond their wildest imagination (a pleasant surprise!). This idea has gained the backing of renowned Motocross World Champion Stefan Everts, his son Liam Everts and Franky De Smet-Van Damme from Channel Zero / Turbeau Beer, who are proud ambassadors of this innovative venture.
With the use of an electric motocross or enduro bike, riders can easily maneuver through hospital corridors, the front or backyards of institutions, or even the hallways of nursing homes, all without making any noise. In fact, after some practice, even doctors and nurses could take a ride (with proper guidance, of course). This is just one of the many convenient benefits of riding an electric motorcycle.
Enduro Fun Bikers
Ziggy’s ultimate goal is also to establish an electric enduro division within EFB (Enduro Fun Bikers), where he currently serves as an instructor. Both Ziggy and Frank Priem, the founder and chairman of EFB, are interested in incorporating electric motorbikes into their training program. The main sponsors of EFB today are Husqvarna and Leon Sagaert by Xavier Beel.
Along with providing instruction, EFB offers one or multi-day enduro excursions, guided by Frank himself. These rides allow participants to explore the top off-road courses in North France and Belgium, utilizing his extensive 25 years of regional knowledge. The routes cover a minimum of 75% off-road terrain and feature a diverse range of obstacles such as open stretches, technical sections, muddy tracks, rivers, chalk paths, forests, and forest trails.
Since 2018, individuals of all levels have had the chance to challenge themselves on the Skills track in Ingelmunster. This obstacle course provides a perfect introduction for beginners looking to try out enduro riding!
According to Ziggy, individuals of all ages are able to learn new skills or improve upon old ones through the educational character of their program. This is achieved through hands-on learning, proactive guidance from instructors during training, and regular analysis of filmed exercises with the pilots.
Ziggy has a personal passion for teaching electric enduro riding. With their rental services, they have the opportunity to introduce numerous individuals to this off-road sport. They host around 20 training sessions per year at their custom EFB Skills track in Ingelmunster. Additionally, they organize Enduro Fun Bikers rides and participate in the social project Kloen E-Adventure, utilizing their (future) fleet of electric motorcycles.
Investors / E-business partners wanted
THE PACK is highly intrigued by these new E-projects and would like to offer support and ambassadorship. Young riders, through Enduro Fun Bikers, now have the chance to engage in sustainable off-road motorsport by using electric motorbikes. On the other hand, KLOEN E-Adventure has a different focus on promoting social interaction within their adventures.
Guy Salens | THE PACK: “Electric offroad riding is gaining popularity because of the environmentally-friendly options offered by electric motorbike companies. It’s an ideal choice for younger riders looking to enter the thrilling world of motorsports.”
The EFB organization is currently searching for companies that produce electric motorcycles suitable for children and teenagers, with the possibility of a sponsorship arrangement or discounted pricing. They are also interested in enduro motorcycles specifically for their adult riding instructors and renting possibilities. With a membership of approximately 300 pilots and a steadily expanding audience, EFB is an ideal target for promoting your brand, as recognized by THE PACK. Updates on these opportunities will be regularly shared through our news website and social media platforms.
