Flemish Minister of Sports Ben Weyts has announced an investment of €175,000 to help Flemish motocross tracks transition to electric motocross. The ‘MX For Kids’ project by Motorsport Vlaanderen is also included in this initiative. Additionally, Weyts is providing €80,000 to support the owners of motocross tracks in meeting licensing requirements, such as environmental impact reports and noise standards.
Initiative for evolution
“We at Motorsport Vlaanderen are pleased to have developed this initiative together with the minister,” says Kurt Vanborm, chairman of Motorsport Vlaanderen. “With these funds, we can work on the evolution of our sport, and the remaining circuits will have the resources to comply with current regulations.”
