Branded content Electric Motorbikes | Just before we end 2021, we would like to draw your attention to a remarkable and disappointing message that we encountered for all future Dutch business riders and those who want to exchange their motorcycle: per 1-1-2022 the MIA (and Vamil) advantages will disappear for electric motorbikes, mopeds and scooters.

Are you a Dutch entrepreneur and do you want to invest tax-efficiently in environmentally friendly equipment and techniques? This is possible with the “Milieu-investeringsaftrek” (MIA) and the “Willekeurige afschrijving milieu-investeringen” (Vamil). But on December 27, the Environmental List MIA\Vamil 2022 was changed and electric motorcycles and mopeds are no longer included in the list. So, if you wanted to buy an electric motorbike or moped in 2022 with your company in The Netherlands, you just have a few days left in 2021 to order and to maintain this MIA/Vamil investment possibility. After 1 January, this advantage will disappear.

But it’s not too late

If you still want to make use of the tax benefit on one of our 100% electric scooters, mopeds or motorcycles, we can arrange this for you before 1 January 2022.”

It is a young, new market with a relatively large number of new players. It’s a pity that this advantage for companies will disappear. This is just a step backwards. If you had the idea to purchase an electric motorcycle with your company in 2022, I can now only advise you to place your order this year if you still want to use this measure.
