The N60 MM.01, a fully electric motorcycle from Belgian motorcycle brand Saroléa is the foundation of the collab of The Mighty Machines. “This superbike is largely based on the racing engine with which the brothers Torsten and Bjorn Robbens have realized the comeback of Saroléa in the TT Zero on the Isle of Man,” explains co-founder Jeroen-Vincent Nagels. With the help of Saroléa’s in-house designer Serge Rusak, a streetfighter version was designed according to the standards and values of The Mighty Machines: a power of 120kW (163HP) and a driving range of 330 kilometers with a speed of 100 km / h within 3 seconds. All Saroléa motorcycles, just like the previous model, the Manx7, are powered by WAIZU, the automotive AI platform developed from a far-reaching partnership between Sarolea, ML6 in Ghent and Google.
Riding in style with Café Costume: in a safe, tailored suit on the motorcycle
The collaboration with Café Costume proves that The Mighty Machines mainly built the MM.01 collab around Belgian talent. This innovative fashion label – founded by Bruno, Saskia and Angélique Van Gils – succeeded in bringing the tailored suit back into the contemporary street scene. “We approached Bruno Van Gils with the question of whether there would be a way to integrate motor protection in a tailor-made suit, since this has never been done before! Bruno immediately saw this as a challenge ”says Jeroen-Vincent Nagels. In the search for the most suitable protectors to integrate into the suit, The Mighty Machines eventually came to another innovative Belgian company: AXOC technologies.
Heroine MM.01: trendy retro helmet
For the next logical step after the development of a stylish biker suit, The Mighty Machines contacted Hedon Helmets in Milan. Coincidence or not but this established value in the custom motorcycle world was co-founded by Reginald Flint, a Belgian guy living in London! “The goal was to create a stylish helmet that matches perfectly with a tailored suit. And preferably just like the Saroléa made of carbon fiber, “explains creative director Joop Wanten. “According to Reg, the problem with most motorcycle helmets is that they look a bit, well, very terrible. Fortunately, Hedon has become the reference in terms of design in recent years, and The Mighty Helmet (the so-called “Heroine MM.01”) is one of the most luxurious creations today, “says Joop Wanten.
Studio Blade: a world of craftsmanship translated into a beautiful design object
To stay in line with the absolute gentleman lifestyle, The Mighty Machines finally opted for a series of exclusive matching “every day carry knives” by Dimitri Turcott, knife-master at Studio Blade. He went to work with the materials that also were used for the Saroléa such as carbon fiber, titanium but also with high-quality Damascus steel in which the profile of electric waves lies.
The exclusive MM.01 package consisting of the Saroléa, the Café Costume ‘biker suit’, the Heroine MM.01 designer helmet and the traditionally crafted knife from Studio Blade has an exclusive price tag: 69,000 euros excluding taxes. The limited edition of 20 Saroléa’s MM.01 can be pre-ordered via The Mighty Machines, their platform will be launched on May 16th. Interested parties can discover the MM.01 collab in June in showroom Twenty 8 (Reyndersstraat 26, 2000 Antwerp).
