Source: press release Cake | Cake announced the launch of three new two-wheelers, named Ready, Steady and Go respectively, exclusively aimed at young riders. Dubbed the CAKE Kids Evolution Program, the goal is to stimulate excitement for two-wheeled fun and build confidence among the young.
“Learning to ride a bicycle is a must before even thinking of anything with a motor. The joy and excitement, developing skills, balance and control is the common platform, no matter where the path for kids on two wheels will take them. It’s also about responsibility and anxiety, where step by step confidence and safety thinking, for kids and parents is key”, says Stefan Ytterborn, Founder and CEO, Cake.
Three new bikes, three new ways of riding
The Cake Kids Evolution Program serves riders from 2-8 years+, gradually priming them by introducing more complex two-wheelers as they grow their skill set. It is all about progressively setting the pace and building confidence, in a manner that is both safe and inspiring. A total of three models will be introduced, all deeply rooted in the Cake promise of combining quality with excitement, each serving a different age group and level of skill.
“Being a dad, I have been disturbingly surprised by the motorized off-road kids bikes that lately have hit the market, addressing kids from toddlers and up. With the Cake line of bikes, we want to excite young riders and stress safety. You need to learn how to walk before you run, and you need to master your balance before you start playing around with a throttle”, comments Stefan Ytterborn.
These three different bikes bring kids on a two-wheeled journey, where they’ll at first literally will use their feet to move around, before upping the game to using pedals and finishing off with a throttle. It’s a safe and fun way of developing the skills and positive attitude needed before they’ll eventually be pushed by a motor”, ends Stefan Ytterborn.
