A new chapter for Black Tea Motorbikes

Five years ago, Black Tea Motorbikes was founded with the goal of creating a vintage-inspired electric motorcycle. The Bonfire, essentially an old Honda converted to electric, quickly found enthusiasts in the community. After launching the first 50cc version, a 125cc model followed. Now, BTM is taking the next step by introducing the Wildfire, an innovative electric motorcycle that impresses not only with its futuristic design but also with its technical specifications. As the successor to the popular Bonfire, the Wildfire has been designed from the ground up as a pure electric vehicle, ensuring an optimal combination of performance, range, and comfort.

Innovative design and manufacturing concept

The Wildfire stands out with its rugged look. Its frame is made from sheet metal panels joined together with stainless steel rivets—a technique reminiscent of aircraft construction. This method completely eliminates weld seams, providing not only a unique, angular appearance but also exceptional stability.

By using sheet metal instead of tubing, the frame offers more interior space within the vehicle, allowing room for additional battery cells or chargers. The exterior features a combination of steel and aluminum, with aluminum components, such as the fender, reducing overall weight. The swingarm is entirely made of stainless steel, making it rustproof and highly durable.

Technical strengths of the Wildfire

Powerful drive system
The Wildfire delivers a continuous power output of 10.5 kW and an impressive peak power of 34 kW. Its hub motor is directly integrated into the rear axle, saving space. This setup allows the bike to be ridden with an A1 license while feeling like a full-sized motorcycle. With a top speed of 115 km/h in continuous operation and peak speeds of up to 130 km/h, the Wildfire is ideal for country roads and occasional highway rides.

Modular battery system
The Wildfire can operate with either one or two batteries. A single battery provides 17 kW of peak power, while two batteries increase the power to the full 34 kW. Each battery has a net capacity of approximately 5.3 kWh, totaling 10.6 kWh with two batteries. Under optimal conditions, such as city riding at 50 km/h, a single battery offers a realistic range of 130 km. At higher speeds, the range decreases due to increased energy consumption. With two batteries, the maximum range extends up to 260 km.

One of up to two batteries

The batteries are designed for easy removal and external charging, making them theoretically ideal for those without a charging station at home. However, with each battery weighing 27 kg, carrying them up to an apartment on the third floor might not be the most convenient option.

Fast charging and efficiency
Charging speed was a key focus during development. The Wildfire features a Type 2 charging port, making it a practical choice for everyday use. It supports three different charging units with outputs ranging from 2 kW to 6.6 kW, though the highest output can only be fully utilized with two batteries. Thanks to its intelligent design and efficient battery management, the Wildfire is particularly suited for urban and semi-urban environments.

Sustainability and easy maintenance
Another major advantage of the Wildfire is its low maintenance requirements. As an electric vehicle, it does not need oil changes or other typical combustion engine servicing. BTM follows a modular design philosophy, making electrical components easily accessible and replaceable—even by the owner. This approach underscores Black Tea Motorbikes’ commitment to creating a long-lasting and user-friendly vehicle.

Comfort and customization
The Wildfire has a seat height of approximately 85 to 86 cm, with an option to lower it by 3 cm. The standard version comes with rugged Heidenau K60 tires, suitable for both off-road and street use. Alternatively, street tires can be fitted to better suit individual riding preferences.

Additionally, the Wildfire offers various customization options, including different color schemes, gold or black forks, and aluminum or steel fenders. Optional accessories include a windscreen, top case, surf rack, handlebar risers, handlebar brace, and a headlight grille.

Many options to be configured

Pricing starts at €7,990 for the standard single-battery version with a 2 kW charger, while the performance model with two batteries and a high-power charger starts at €10,990.

A true alternative to combustion motorcycles
The Wildfire was developed with the goal of being a serious alternative to combustion motorcycles. Despite its classification as a 125cc-equivalent, its higher peak power as an electric vehicle delivers an exhilarating riding experience. Combining eco-friendly technology with performance that appeals even to experienced riders, the Wildfire makes a strong case for the future of electric two wheelers.

The #SteckerBiker Verdict

With the Wildfire, Black Tea Motorbikes demonstrates that German-made electric mobility can be both sustainable and high-performance while offering an eyecatching design. Its innovative frame construction, powerful performance, and wellthought-out battery system make it an exciting choice for anyone looking for a sustainable mobility solution without compromising on riding enjoyment. Admittedly, its angular design may divide opinions—but its inner values speak for themselves. Black Tea Motorbikes is making a statement for the future of electric motorcycling.
