March 11, 2020 in Caffènation Antwerp … Jeroen-Vincent Nagels and Philippe Stella invited me for a cup of coffee and a talk about their new project. It was great to see how these 2 friends and motorcycle enthusiasts unveiled their first designs for the TREVOR DTRe STELLA dirt tracker. Today, August 2021, Trevor Motorcycles announced they raised more than one million euros from a Canadian investment fund after an investment round. Trevor Motorcycles has now a post-money valuation more than five million euros.
“This investment allows us to continue to grow and start up our production”, says Jeroen-Vincent Nagels, Co-Founder Trevor Motorcycles. “We are happy to finally be able to hit the roads with our Trevors. All the teams involved in the project have worked so hard to keep development and manufacturing going despite the difficulties associated with the health crisis. This is a nice achievement for the whole team!”
It was in 2018 on the sandy roads in Cadaqués (Catalonia) the idea was born to develop a modern and ‘clean’ version of the vintage dirt bikes Jeroen & Philippe had available. When Trevor Motorcycles decided with Saroléa Performance Technology (Belgium) to embark on this adventure, the team created a technologically modern, clean and performant machine while keeping the vintage spirit of old dirt bikes that inspired them.
Equipped with an 11 kW brushless electric motor and a 2.7 kWh lithium-ion battery designed by Saroléa, the DTRe STELLA is a sporty and agile flat tracker on all terrains. The top speed of 95 km / h is more than enough for offroad and we haven’t even mentioned the 260 Nm of torque that you have available …
