Source: Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd | Yamaha Motor will be competing in Round 5 of the 2022 FIM Trial World Championship in France on August 28 with Kenichi Kuroyama riding the all-new TY-E 2.0 electric trials bike in the Trial2 class on the Yamaha Factory Racing Team.
Kuroyama finished as the runner-up in the Trial-E Cup in 2018 and 2019 with the first version of the TY-E, and this entry is sure to be one to watch as the TY-E 2.0 will be competing alongside conventional gas-powered machines and has been developed with Kuroyama serving as its chief test rider.
The goal of Yamaha’s “Environmental Plan 2050” is to aim for carbon neutrality throughout all of its business activities—including across the life cycles of its products—by 2050, and the TY-E 2.0 project represents a uniquely Yamaha approach toward achieving carbon neutrality.
