The Italian brand Askoll is doing their NGS-Tour in Italy to promote the new electric NGS scooter. At THE PACK we found this a very original idea to promote a new scooter in collaboration with the local dealers in different Italian cities. And with this travel idea, Italy was also presented virtually in a touristic way. You can discover the full roadtrip at their social media accounts Facebook and Instagram.
Valeria Tasinazzo – Marketing & Communication Askoll: “Being an Italian company, this summer we wanted to talk not only about our new e-scooters, but also about our beautiful country that, after Covid-19, has seen a huge decrease of international tourists. For this reason, the fact that so many people had the chance of visiting Italy with our Instagram posts, is a mission accomplished.”
From the north of Italy to the South, these are the cities involved in the tour: Torino, Milano, Bergamo, Verona, Vicenza, Padova, Trieste, Bologna, Genova, Savona, Livorno, Roma, Napoli, Salerno, Palermo, Messina.

Light and easy to handle, the NGS scooters are equipped with a comfortable two-seater saddle for perfect habitability, they are large, have a more protective shield and offer even more driving safety than the eS models. Not only a simple aesthetic choice but also functional to guarantee the highest performance. All scooters in the NGS range are equipped with a new transmission which makes them even quieter.
Developed in collaboration with Italdesign, the NGS range consists of 3 scooter variants:
NGS1
NGS1 has a power of 1,000 W and 100 Nm torque, reaches 45 km / h and has a maximum range of 40 km, according to 168/2013 CE. The energy-efficient Askoll brushless electric motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, as standard, with a maximum total capacity of 1,045 Wh and 7.6 kg in weight. The braking system consists of a 190mm disc brake at the front while a 140mm drum is present at the rear.
NGS2
NGS2 has a power of 2,000 W and 130 Nm torque, it also reaches 45 km / h and has a maximum range of 71 km, according to 168/2013 CE. Its energy-efficient Askoll brushless electric motor is powered by two lithium-ion battery packs, as standard, with a total capacity of 2,090 Wh and 7.6 kg of weight each. 190 mm diameter disc brakes ensure braking on the front and rear.
NGS3
Higher is the performance of NGS3, the 2,700 W engine and 130 Nm torque allows you to reach a maximum speed of 66 km / h and guarantees a range of up to 96 km, according to 168/2013 CE. The energy-efficient Askoll brushless electric motor is powered by two lithium-ion battery packs with a total capacity of 2,800 Wh and 8.1 kg of weight per battery pack. The braking system with the CBS system guarantees maximum safety, in any condition of use.
The suspension, hydraulic telescopic on the front and mono-shock absorber on the rear, and the large wheels (80 / 80-16 ” on the front and 90 / 80-16 ” on the rear) characterize all the versions as well as the double compound, soft on the sides and rigid in the centre.
Like all Askoll electric scooters, the new NGS also have removable batteries and can be easily recharged from any electrical outlet or directly from the scooter by connecting them to the appropriate charger. The time for a full charge from 0% to 100% is approximately 3 hours for 1kWh.

The NGS scooters are available in three colour variants (white, red and titanium grey).
About Askoll
Based in Italy, the Askoll Group was founded in 1978 on a revolutionary and inspired idea of founder, Elio Marioni: synchronous technology applied to electric motors. Synchronous technology enables the development of electric motors to save more than 50% of energy compared to conventional electric motors. Maintaining the same motor power means that smaller engines can be produced, saving on materials such as copper and iron and contributing to environmental sustainability. Initially developed for the aquarium industry, the technology was later extended to household appliances, heating systems and, after years of research, to urban mobility.
Today, the Group consists of 11 companies operating in strategic locations around the world.
Italy (6 plants), Brazil, China, Mexico, Romania and Slovakia. Askoll products provide high performance and quality thanks to design capabilities with seamless integration of product development and production processes. Products for aquariums and ponds combine superior technology and ease of use, ensuring the well-.being of aquatic ecosystems. The new products for the latest generation of heating systems comply fully with European eco-design standards on energy performance. The components in Askoll devices give a competitive advantage to customers in terms of materials and energy savings. On the strength of its solid experience, the Askoll Group has launched a new line of business involving the production and sale of electric vehicles for urban mobility, which substantially reduces fuel consumption (benefit for the user and emissions (benefit for the company).
