Source: EMAX | EMAX Laboratory was founded in 2013 and is specialised in development and design of new generation electric vehicles. One of the first and most successful projects was their electric motorcycle, created in 2014, based on the gasoline Yamaha 450. The electric motorcycle has passed several stages of the international Africa Eco Race 2017. This was the first precedent for the performance of electric technology in an international rally. Since 2020, the company has been serially producing its own electric motorcycle EMAX DWX 25 (a motorcross/enduro and a supermotard version), and electric vehicles used on land, water and in the air.

EMAX DWX 25
The EMAX DWX 25 is designed for offroad and fun riding. Light weighted, reliable and unpretentious. Definitely a beginner-friendly motorbike, as the bike does not have a gearbox (ideal for beginners). But at the same time, this model has something to surprise the professional as well, since it allows you to concentrate as much as possible on riding the motorcycle.
The EMAX DWX 25 brings together a huge amount of EMAX experience over the past few years: an aluminum frame with a honeycomb structure, specially designed for this motorcycle. In addition to the low weight of the frame itself, which is 13.2 kg, the placement of all units in it provides an incredibly low center of gravity, which in turn had a positive effect on handling, which was repeatedly confirmed by professional racers.
Compact battery with a capacity of 4,5 kW/h. The motor and controller improved by EMAX specialists, providing up to 25kW of explosive power, but at the same time, thanks to the applied know-how, it made it possible to abandon the water cooling, which reduced the weight of the motorcycle, which is only 98 kg.
The electronics of the motorcycle allows you to set the riding modes “economic” or “sport”. And also thanks to the cooperation of EMAX with component manufacturers, the finest settings of the device are available, which allows, for example, to further limit the power if the rider is completely unfamiliar with motorcycles, but wants to learn. Also, flexible settings are useful for rental vehicles. Additionally, a device with a GPS sensor can be installed, which will allow not only to see the location of your vehicle, but also to turn it off or on remotely.
The bottom line is that the owner only needs to take care of the lubrication and cleaning of the chain, sprockets and suspension – which is similar to, for example, caring for a bicycle. The basic battery provides about 3 hours of active driving on rough terrain, which in kilometers, depending on the terrain, will be up to +/- 100 km on a single charge.
