Source: website Čezeta | Inspired by the space-age, Čezeta’s history started in 1957 at the time of post-war optimism when Czechoslovakia was the world’s greatest motorcycle producer. It’s radically unique design comes from Jaroslav František Koch – motorcycle racer and engineer who designed the first Čezeta called the Type 501.
On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary, Čezeta launches a new electric scooter in a limited-series of 2,000.
The Čezeta Koch was an iconic design over eastern Europe, Russia, Vietnam and Cuba, it was the communist world’s Vespa. Recognisable for its rocket look it captured the spirit of the 1950’s space age just as American tailfins did in the west. Everything about his design exhibited modernist principles, the promise for young Czechoslovaks of a bright future after winning Expo 58. At home in Prague, this limousine of a scooter gave it its nickname: ‘The Pig’, being a fair comparison to Italy’s diminutive Vespa or ‘Wasp’.
Type 506
Based on the iconic space-age Čezeta design, but now with sporting cutting-edge electric scooter technologies, the Type 506 is the definition of exceptional. A 6kWh Panasonic® Lithium battery pack gives a TUV-certified range among the best in the world for an electric scooter. A powerful on-board 1.8kW universal charger (110V-240V) allows a quick top up anywhere there is a household socket. All operations are protected by Čezeta’s computer systems for maximum convenience and safety.

Attention to detail
The 506’s instrumentation is simple yet classy. Produced by legendary UK manufacturer ‘Smiths’ and reminiscent of the original 1950s Čezeta dials, the two bespoke gauges measure speed, trip and battery power and are in classic white decal, finished with chromed bezels.
Every Čezeta is bespoke made to order at our factory in the Czech Republic using our own manufacturing facilities, together with the highest quality components from European manufacturers such as Rizoma, Beringer, Michelin, Smiths and Sevcon. We do not use low-price components for the simple reason that we are not trying to offer the lowest price. Our goal is always is to craft a unique three-dimensional work of art, tailored just for you.
