How THE PACK uses AI

THE PACK has covered the electric motorcycle and light electric vehicle industry independently for nine years, built and run from the start by a single editor. As the industry has grown, so has the volume of news, launches, and press releases coming out of it. We use AI tools to help us keep pace with that, without changing what THE PACK is or how it works.

This page explains how.

What we use AI for

We use AI for two things: translating source material, press releases and other industry communications, into English, and helping rewrite corporate press releases into THE PACK’s own format: direct, technical, and stripped of marketing language.

This lets us cover more of the industry, faster, including announcements that a one-person newsroom would otherwise not have time to write up at all.

What stays human

Every article on THE PACK is read, edited, checked, and approved before publication. AI helps draft and translate, it doesn’t decide what’s news, doesn’t have the final say on wording, and doesn’t publish anything on its own.

Test reviews, ride impressions, interviews, and original reporting, – including THE DIRT PACK off-road test series – are based on hands-on experience and written by the people who did the work. AI is not used to generate opinions or claims we haven’t verified ourselves.

Accuracy

Press releases are rewritten, not copy-pasted, and not published as raw AI output. Specs and claims are checked against manufacturer materials and our own knowledge of the segment before anything goes live. Where a press release is incomplete, outdated, or overly promotional, our version reflects what we can stand behind, not what the brand sent us.

Corrections

If you spot an error in anything we publish, AI-assisted or not, let us know and we’ll fix it > hello@motorguy.eu

Why this matters to us

In a fast-moving industry, readers deserve to know how the news they’re reading gets made. AI helps THE PACK write faster and cover more, but the editorial judgment, verification, and responsibility for everything published under THE PACK’s name stays human.
