ANY opens the configurator for the LUV1
When ANY unveiled the LUV1 at Milan Design Week this spring, the pitch was that this wasn’t a moped, a cargo bike or an electric motorcycle – it was a new category altogether, one the company itself named the Life Utility Vehicle. Since then, the LUV1 has existed mostly as a concept: a design statement built around a die-cast aluminium chassis, a philosophy from Granstudio’s Lowie Vermeersch, and a promise that the vehicle would adapt to whatever life throws at it. Now ANY has taken the next logical step and opened up a configurator, giving anyone a first real look at how far that modularity actually goes.
A quick recap for anyone who missed the Milan launch: the LUV1 is built around 120 liters of integrated, reconfigurable storage on a two-piece aluminium platform. It runs an 11 kW rear-hub motor, tops out at 100 km/h, and is rated for an A1 license. Range sits at 100-140 km thanks to two swappable 6.5 kWh lithium-ion batteries, and the whole thing weighs in at 160 kg. Production is targeted for late 2027, with pricing expected between €7,000 and €10,000 in Europe depending on how it’s configured – which is exactly where this new online tool comes in.

The configurator lets you build your own LUV1 front to back, and it makes clear just how deep ANY’s platform thinking goes. You start with four “Made by ANY” curated looks – Sunwashed, Nightfall, Basecamp and Cocoon – before diving into the individual components yourself.

Up front, you choose between an Urban setup, tuned for precise, controlled city riding, or a Cross setup built to absorb impact and carry more when the road gets rough. Tyres follow the same logic: All-Road for grip on unpredictable surfaces, or Street for a fast, quiet ride on smooth tarmac.
The seat area offers a Closed Seat with soft, seamless support, or an Access Seat with a cutout for reaching storage underneath. Door panels are where the LUV1’s modularity really shows: a Standard Panel for everyday riding, a Cargo Panel that’s hinged and reinforced for hauling more, a dedicated Pet Cage Panel, or an Open Frame if you’d rather skip panels altogether. Panels, seats and the inner frame can all be finished in an extensive palette – from Mist and Slate to Sunset, Turquoise and Cocoa – with door panels additionally available in four patterned finishes ranging from Expressive to Plain Matt.

Weather protection comes via a Small windshield for light coverage, a Large one for comfort at speed, or no windshield at all. Around the back, riders can add a passenger handle with an integrated rear tray, a top rack, or side racks for panniers.
Then there’s storage, which is really the heart of the LUV1 concept. Main compartment options include a Floor Tray, a raised Middle Tray, Door Bags, a dedicated Pet Bag, a large plastic basket or a simple bag hook. Up top, you can fit an Organizer Tray, an adjustable-height tray, or leave it open. And for the details: an integrated rain poncho tucked into the top lid, weatherproof side bags, a top bag, or a full top case.

It’s a genuinely extensive build process, and every configuration can be shared via a link once you’re done – useful if you’re the kind of person who wants a second opinion before committing.
THE PACK’s take: what stands out here isn’t any single option, it’s how consistent the modularity is with everything ANY said in Milan. This isn’t a vehicle with a few cosmetic trim levels bolted on for marketing purposes – the configurator reflects a platform that was genuinely engineered to be taken apart and rebuilt around a person’s actual week: commuter one day, pet-friendly runabout the next, cargo hauler on the weekend. Early access still runs €49 to reserve a spot, but now, for the first time, you can actually see what you’d be reserving. Worth a look at www.rideany.com/en/configurator.
