B2B News | GR1T Motorcycles has appointed Marco Savelli as its new Chief Technology Officer. After nearly a decade in F1, he co-founded Wheelab, the Rimini-based engineering and design firm responsible for developing the G1 prototypes from scratch. Having been involved in the G1’s development from the outset, his appointment to a full-time CTO role marks a natural progression for the company.

GR1T also made its large-scale public debut in Germany at Reload.Land, held on 2 and 3 May at Berlin Tempelhof Airport alongside Formula E. The event drew more than 26,000 visitors over the weekend, with thousands passing through the Reload.Land area. For many attendees it was their first opportunity to see the G1S, G1X, and G1XR in person, and the first time anyone outside the GR1T team had ridden them. The Berlin outing appeared to validate the direction the company is taking, with visitors responding positively to the bikes’ design, simplicity, and feel.

GR1T Motorcycles: “We were also blessed by surprise visits from two of our Founder’s Circle customers Werner and Thomas. It was really cool to meet them and hear their positive feedback! The response went beyond what we expected. The test rides, the conversations, the reactions across the weekend gave us something every new brand needs early: real-world validation and reservations!”
