Curtiss has very ambitious plans to become the leader in the premium luxury battery electric motorcycles over the next 18 months. The Zeus Radial V8 is scheduled to start its production in 2020. The Curtiss Hades is currently in design and development stages. Production of this machine is scheduled as early as last quarter 2020.
Zeus Radial V8
Based upon foundational simplicity, Curtiss design is aesthetically clean and minimal by nature. Jordan Cornille | Design Director | Zeus: When our Founder, Glenn Curtiss, began building motorcycles in the early 20th century, his intention was to brand them Hercules. The name was chosen to describe his machines’ powerful and timeless designs. This is where we find our inspiration for today’s four Curtiss sub-brands (Zeus, Hades, Psyche, Eros). Zeus, god of gods, must then be our first production machine.
The idealistic dimensions of Zeus are achievable only because of Curtiss’ unique, proprietary battery packaging system, developed using the world’s most advanced combinations of raw chemistries. The eight identical cylindrical battery towers are packed with extremely power dense, high capacity cells. These battery cooling towers are easily replaceable, meaning Zeus has the opportunity to effortlessly upgrade its battery technology throughout the years. This is an important factor in creating a truly sustainable product; “fast fashion” is not sustainable. Buying a product, maintaining that same product, and allowing it to mature and become better with you is sustainable.
Zeus takes advantage of the best and finest materials the world has to offer; aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber to name a few. These premium materials are all on display here, showcased through a visually lightweight, skeletal aesthetic. The Ruler demands the very best and is unwavering in what it requires. The Ruler sits majestically and comfortably on its throne making brief, yet memorable, appearances.
