Yes, I know. I have said less concepts, less renders, less prototypes … and more real working electric motorcycles and scooters at EMN. But good ideas have to start somewhere …
… for example with these guys from Ohe studios, a Berlin based design studio. They have presented a design study of an electric two wheeler for urban mobility with a focus on their company values of simple solutions, iconic design, and mindful executions.
Using an optimised aluminium sheet metal frame and 3D printed components they were able to create a product with a unique and striking appearance while maintaining a relatively low production cost and reducing material waste.
This is only presented as a design study. So while this design itself is not intended for production, Ohe studios is certainly going to have something on the road in the near future. In fact, they are already working at it and the new design is inspired by many elements of this first project.
The team is looking for suppliers for drivetrain and suspension components, and will be seeking investment when the new product is closer to completion.
