Source: press release and website E-Racer Motorcycles | Born on the basis of the new California entry, the Zero SR/F, the Edge has been customized in three different parts, reversibly and without making changes to the original model in terms of structure. In fact, the new set-up can be mounted on the base model without making any changes and thus preserving its approval.
The design of the Edge is brought to the essential, so the bike is lighter than the original version. On an aesthetic level, the livery emphasizes a mix of classicism and sportiness:
- the tank (transformed)is more compact and muscular,
- the front headlight – Full LED – is minimal,
- the setting of sporty driving thanks to the contribution of semi-handlebars,
- the handmade saddle with exclusive hand-stitched texture,
- the full CNC-machined steering plate,
- Galfer daisy brakes and rear single shock absorber with AirTender regressive system.
The LED front light unit, just 7 cm in diameter, is composed of a single headlight with three different functions: position light, low beam and high beam.
The Edge has an audio system with high and low frequencies, with a dual function. The first is to warn other road users of the presence of the electric vehicle: the low frequencies are easily audible in the distance, while the trebles are more audible in the vicinity, as per European legislation UN 138 entered into force last July 1, 2019.
The second function, instead, is to provide a force-feedback to the pilot, to allow him to have references on speed while driving. The audio system creates vibrations and the sound changes according to the speed to give the driver cognition of the speed taken by the bike.
The painting is made in Line X paint, an extremely resistant armor paint, formerly a military patent, which makes the parts anti-scratch.
