Electric Motorbikes Netherlands has been shaking up the Dutch two-wheel scene for years now. While the car industry was busy electrifying, Owner and Director Gert-Jan Rongen spotted the real opportunity: electric motorcycles and mopeds. With a ‘educate first, sell second’ mindset, he’s been putting riders on saddles, breaking down myths about range, charging, and performance, and proving that nothing beats the thrill of riding electric.
From Zero Motorcycles to Naxeon, RGNT Motorcycles, UBCO, Ultraviolette, Rezon Motorcycles and fresh newcomers Mopedix and DAB Motors, Electric Motorbikes has built a line-up that goes from urban commuters to full-blown adventure machines. And the philosophy is simple: you don’t just read about electric motorbikes, you ride them.
A growing electric movement
The Dutch story doesn’t stop there. Electric Motorbikes teamed up with Future Mobility to open Electric Motorbikes Belgium in Antwerp, the new home for Zero Motorcycles and NIU in the region. And now, the next chapter is being written in the north of the Netherlands. Meet Electric Motorbikes ‘North’, led by rider and enthusiast Sander Verkaik, based in Rutten. And they’re kicking things off in the best way possible: by putting you in the saddle.
Sander Verkaik, Electric Motorbikes North: “This is the moment to discover what sustainable mobility feels like on two wheels. Once you ride electric, the game changes.”
