Tytlers Cycle Racing and Stefano Mesa have just returned from the opening round of the 2023 Mission Foods Super Hooligan National Championship by MotoAmerica, held at Daytona International Speedway. Stefano brought his Energica EVA Ribelle RS to the race, marking the first full-time electric-powered effort in the series.
Mesa – who’s familiar with being successful on the iconic Daytona banking – was ready and willing to take on this fresh challenge. The lack of past data at the track or experience with Dunlop tyres posed a problem but did not stop him from making full use of the Energica streetfighter’s power.
He showed off the bike’s full power while keeping up with ICE-powered competitors and taking full advantage of its instant torque at the start of each race. The performance of the #137 rider (a seventh and a fifth place in the first two races of the series) and his Energica EVA Ribelle has given further confidence for what is to come in the next race events. The package proved successful in his capable hands, giving added confidence for upcoming events.
The Super Hooligan series will now take a break before resuming proceedings for Round two at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington State on June 23-25. For more on the Super Hooligan series go to: https://www.superhooligan.com
