EZI shows two AI-equipped micro-cars in Paris
Electric motorcycles are the core of THE PACK, but our coverage has always included the wider light electric vehicle (LEV) category. Micro-cars belong there. In Europe, vehicles like these are type-approved as L-category vehicles, the same regulatory family as mopeds and motorcycles, not as passenger cars. They are small, light and electric, and they target the same urban riders and commuters who look at scooters and light motorcycles. When a manufacturer with roots in two-wheelers moves into this segment, we cover it.

That is the case with EZI. The brand belongs to Keeway Group, known to many riders for its scooters and motorcycles. At the 2026 Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l’Auto), EZI presented its first two production micro-cars: the EM05 and the EM06.
Two designs, one platform
Both models are L6e light quadricycles developed for European city use. They share the same tubular-cage body structure, powertrain and software, but differ in styling.

The EM05 Tech Edition has full-width lighting at the front and flush door handles. The EM06 Retro Edition uses round headlights, retro-style wheels and chrome trim. EZI says both designs draw on the Scandinavian idea of hygge, with comfort as the starting point.

EZI states it wants the EM Series to become the first AI-equipped electric car aimed at young Europeans. That ambition fits the L6e category: these vehicles are speed-limited to 45 km/h and in most European countries can be driven with an AM licence, often at a younger age than a full car licence allows.

Range, charging and equipment
EZI quotes a range of up to 180 km. Charging is done via a Type 2 AC connection and takes around two hours. According to the brand, development followed a standardised engineering process with reference to European L6e/L7e rules and Japanese kei-car requirements, with narrow streets and tight parking in mind.
Standard equipment includes a 13.4-inch central display, a 360-degree camera system, climate control, heated seats and two drive modes, ECO and SPORT.
EZI OS and the wider ecosystem
Both cars run EZI OS, the brand’s own operating system. It connects to what EZI calls its AI Omni-Mobility Ecosystem: the car, a voice assistant named EZI BUDDY, a rideable smart suitcase called EZI LUGGAGE, and the EZI app. The idea is that these products share information before, during and after a trip.

“The value of advanced technology is not about creating visual spectacles, but about becoming part of everyday life and making this life easier. Machines should adapt to the rhythm of people’s lives,” said an EZI spokesperson. This idea is captured the theme of EZI’s Paris launch: IN TUNE WITH LIFE.
Trims, pre-orders and deliveries
The EM05 and EM06 will be offered in three trim levels: Standard, Pro and Max. Global pre-orders opened at the Paris show. First deliveries are planned for late March 2027, starting in selected European markets. EZI has not yet announced prices. For future models on the same platform, EZI plans to offer Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), where the battery is subscribed to rather than bought with the vehicle. The production cars follow an open-top concept EZI showed earlier in Milan.
