Gesits which stands for Garansindo Electric Scooter ITS has great hopes to host electric vehicles in their own country. PT Garansindo Inter Global, who has the idea, collaborated with the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) to create a national electric motorcycle technology which later established a new company called PT Gesits Technologies Indo (GTI) to produce electric scooters.
Gesits is here to provide alternative solutions for passenger vehicles for environmentally friendly daily activities. This electric scooter was officially released and sold to the public in April 2019 at the 2019 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) event by PT Gesits Technologies Indo (GTI).
Regarding the specifications, this electric scooter uses a 5 kW electric motor and for cooling systems it uses an air conditioning system. There are three choices of riding modes namely eco mode, urban mode, and the last sport mode. For maximum power produced, Gesits is able to produce maximum power estimated at 6.7 HP at 3,600 rpm. As for the torque, it is capable of producing considerable torque, which is estimated at 30 Nm at 0-2,125 rpm.
Then to reach speeds from 0 to 50 km / h it only takes about 5 seconds to reach it. For the maximum speed that can be achieved by electric scooters is limited to 70 km / hour. For power consumption of the battery, when using one battery, this motor is capable of driving up to a distance of 50 km. Where as when using two batteries, this electric scooter can travel a distance of up to 100 km.
The battery uses a lithium ion type battery with a capacity of 5,000 WH. To charge the battery from empty to full it takes between 3 and 4 hours. This battery is also designed to be easily removed and can be exchanged with other batteries when the old battery runs out.
Gesits has also been able to connect with the application on the smartphone. Through the application, users can check the condition of electric scooters such as battery indicators, distance traveled, average accuracy, maximum speed, and also can check error codes when there is a problem on the electric scooter.
