Remember Michel Riis? The guy from Switch Motorcycles with the beautiful eTracker and eScrambler? Well, he is already back with a new concept in cooperation with BWD studio from Denmark. Dustoff is their new project and what we have seen so far, this is a minimal design for a low cost electric platform to give you a simple way to change and customize this bike (offroad – supermotard – dirttracker, you name it …).
Michel: “The bike has a 1400 mm wheelbase and a 800 mm seat height. The motor setup will be around 150-200 ccm if compared to gasoline bikes. The first prototype is done in cad and made by hand by me at our local motorcycle workshop/club named MC x.”
The bike is now being tested in several conditions and scenarios. It is super important for Michel to create a bike that delivers what he promises.
Michel: “I am a former Speedway rider and see a huge potential for electric motorcycles in flattrack. Our goal is to have a street legal version on the street later this year. Now we are doing the “not legal” version to test our bike and make sure it performs well under extreme conditions. Our dream is to make a low cost bike you can use as a commuter and also do small upgrades/changes to take it to the local dirt track or to the woods.”
The price aim for the “not legal” version is around 6000-7000 US dollar.
