Source: website Verge Motorcycles (previously known as RMK Vehicle Corporation) | From a home workshop in Turku Finland, RMK Vehicle Corporation started as somewhat of a passion project. The creator of the original motorcycle concept, Teemu Saukkio, had his eyes set on making a statement to the electric motorcycling world with a simple idea; To add more attitude to the market by creating an electric motorbike that is unique both in design and functionality. By using the hub-less rear rim motor as the drivetrain and creating very bold styling for the motorcycle, Teemu achieved his goal.
Taking the company forward, RMK will be replaced with their new brand, VERGE Motorcycles. RMK has been fundamental in the quick development of the prototype project, resulting in the production model we see today at EICMA 2019. RMK will be considered a stepping stone from which the company will take it’s next steps, which are to build solid foundations with a brand name that is in line with their international aims. The rebrand will establish the company’s intention to produce market leading motorcycles that have attitude, refinement and unique design. Catering for the globally growing market of riders who are looking for a unique electric motorcycle.
Rebranding the company will take some of the spotlight from RMK, but they want to honour the work of their past by naming the production model, the TS, named after Teemu Saukkio.
