With a mass of only 40kg for the road legal model, the LMX 161 gives similar handling to a downhill MTB, while the power is comparable to a 85cc off-road mx bike. Adam Mercier and Lucas Suteau have been working on this project since 2008. Between 2012 and 2014, four prototypes were developed based on the electric light motocross concept. In June 2014, the first 6 frames are taken out as pre-series motocross oriented model. From September 2015, they have been industrializing the production of the last frame LMX v2.2 In April 2016, a new e-commerce website has been launched, LMX is now a trademark. All free ride bikes are engineered and build in France. LMX Bikes presents also the LMX 81 Freeride MTB and several frame kits.
