Maeving secures £8 Million to accelerate global expansion and new model development
B2B News | Coventry-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Maeving has raised £8 million in fresh funding to boost production, accelerate its entry into overseas markets, and develop new models. The round, completed in September 2025, underscores the brand’s growing reputation as one of the UK’s most promising e-mobility innovators.

A major funding milestone
The investment was backed by venture capital firms Venrex, Future Planet Capital, and Elbow Beach Capital, alongside angel investors John Ayton and Simon Hill-Norton. Maeving also secured a £3 million working capital facility from HSBC UK, adding financial stability as the company scales up operations.

The funding will support Maeving’s international ambitions, particularly in the United States and mainland Europe, while also fueling the development of new electric motorcycle models.
Rapid growth and expansion
Maeving has experienced impressive growth over the past two years:
- Factory Expansion: In late 2023, the company relocated to a 50,000 sq ft factory in Coventry, boosting annual production capacity from 1,000 to 7,500 motorcycles.
- Product Innovation: In 2024, Maeving launched its RM1S, a higher-performance sibling to its popular RM1, catering to riders seeking more speed and versatility.
- International Success: Sales in the US have grown fivefold in the past year, marking a major step forward in Maeving’s global expansion strategy.
- Strategic Partnerships: Inventory finance from DF Capital has strengthened Maeving’s supply chain and ability to meet growing demand.

Driving the future of urban mobility
The new funding marks an important step in Maeving’s mission to become a global leader in sustainable urban transport. By scaling production and broadening its model range, the brand is positioning itself as a serious contender in the electric motorcycle market, not only in the UK, but worldwide.
“Maeving’s journey shows how British design and innovation can play a central role in the future of two-wheeled mobility,” said one of the company’s investors. “This funding will help the brand accelerate its growth and meet surging international demand.”

With fresh capital, expanded capacity, and rising global recognition, Maeving is set to write the next chapter in its mission to redefine electric motorcycling for urban riders everywhere.
