Source: Press release Zero Motorcycles UK | Electric motorbike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles has expanded its UK dealer network to 11 after signing agreements to sell its award winning range at retailers in Brighton and Peterborough. Multi franchise dealers On The Wheel in Brighton, and Wheels Motorcycles in Peterborough, have both signed up to sell the 100% electric machines, which retail from just over £9000 on the road.
“These are exciting times for Zero Motorcycles,” says Dale Robinson, Zero Motorcycles’ UK Country Manager. “We recorded record sales in 2018 and are planning continued growth in 2019 through the expansion of our dealer network and the introduction of the exciting new SR/F. We’re delighted to invite both On The Wheel and Wheels Motorcycles to the network. Both dealerships have proven themselves to deliver great service over the years and really buy into the Zero Motorcycles ethos. I expect that they will be the first of many new appointments in 2019, as we plan to offer full coverage across the UK and Ireland.”
Zero offers a seven strong all-electric range, which encompasses the off-road styled FX and FXS, the commuter friendly S and DS models and the flagship SR and DSR. Zero’s range topping DSR Black Forest edition was introduced in 2018, with an all-new unfaired sportsbike – called the SR/F – to be unveiled next month. All Zero motorcycles can be ridden on an A2 motorcycle licence, with 11kw versions of the S and DS available for riders who do not yet have a full licence. All models are also eligible for a £1500 UK government grant from the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles and are available through a range of PCP and finance options. Bikes can be charged overnight through a standard three-pin domestic socket, or quickly through public Level Two charging posts when fitted with Zero’s optional Charge Tank.
Both On The Wheel and Wheels Motorcycles will have demonstrator bikes available for potential customers try out from February.
