Source: press release Evoke Electric Motorcycles | Evoke Electric Motorcycles (HK) Ltd. with Invictus Electric Vehicles LLC. are investing and developing a “Made in USA” assembly plant to manufacture, assemble and sell Evoke’s electric motorcycles across the continental USA, US Territories and other countries with strong trade relations with the US.
The newly formed joint venture company will be based in the CNMI, a commonwealth in political union with the United States since 1978. The CNMI presents a unique middle ground that allows fast and efficient shipments of core parts from China and local assembly adhering to US standards and quality. The joint venture will focus on assembly and distribution of Evoke’s Urban Series (Urban Classic and Urban S) of electric motorcycles.
Invictus Managing Member Jeffrey Voacolo stated “We are proud that Evoke Motorcycles has chosen our firm to become their Joint Venture partner in assembling Evoke electric motorcycles in the Territory of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands. Evoke is rated one of the best premier electric motorcycles in the market today and this plant will add to their global expansion. Bringing an assembly plant into the CNMI after many years will add to the economy by creating jobs, creating skill levels to our employees, and creating local business to business opportunities. This could only have been done with the current Governor’s progressive vision of making the CNMI a great place to do business in.”
By securing the “Made in USA” moniker, distribution of Evoke’s high-power electric motorcycles in the Continental US, Philippines, Guam and Saipan will continue to expand, while new markets, new distributors and new retailers will be added to Evoke’s ever growing distribution network.
With growing customer demand for electric motorcycles continuing to flourish, the new production facility will be able to keep pace and hedge potential production and shipping delays from China during recent covid lockdowns and ultimately speed up deliveries to Evoke riders all over the globe.
“It’s a significant milestone in our company’s development! Our new facility in the region with our partner’s cooperation will allow for quick deliveries and expansion in the US. With the JV now in place, both our investors and I see Evoke being able to take a more significant role in the US market and move to a more sustainable EV future.” quotes Sebastian Chrobok, Evoke Motorcycles’ COO.
