NUEN MOTO rolls out production-ready N1-S amid Vietnam’s combustion engine ban

Today, Vietnam-based EV startup NUEN MOTO has officially announced that its flagship electric motorcycle, the N1-S, is now production-ready, with its first 100 units already fully pre-ordered. The move marks a pivotal milestone not just for the company, but also for Vietnam’s fast-evolving transportation landscape.

After months of rigorous testing, supply chain refinement, and strategic partnership building, NUEN MOTO is entering the next phase: manufacturing at scale. Backed by supplier agreements with globally recognized names like Bosch and JJuan, and a bill of materials (BOM) that blends performance with cost-efficiency, the N1-S has transitioned from prototype to market-ready vehicle.

Urban policy driving demand: the Hanoi gasoline ban

NUEN’s growth comes at a critical time for urban mobility in Vietnam. Since the July 2024 announcement of a gasoline-powered motorcycle ban in central Hanoi, the company’s sales has grown 7x! With Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City both implementing full bans on combustion-engine two-wheelers by 2026, the Vietnamese market is experiencing an urgent pivot toward electric alternatives.
