PSTV Motorcycles, a startup based in Como Lake – Italy, is looking to capitalize on the passion for motorcycles that is characteristic of their country. After two years of intense design and development work, the vehicle prototype is ready for testing and public demonstration.
The team is striving to complete development of the vehicle and bring it to market by 2024, but challenges ahead due to global energy crisis, supply-chain instabilities, and parts availability keep looming. Their in-house manufacturing strategy helps them stay on track with production deadlines. The next milestone for PSTV Motorcycles will be securing investors that believe in the project, as this sector is projected to grow 20% yearly in the next decade.
Pre-orders will open in coming months before the final product is released in 2024.
The EGERA (in its prototype phase) contains an electric liquid cooled engine which was developed in Italy and features regenerative brakes. The battery allows up to 100 km of range – ideal for daily commutes or weekend trips. PSTV Motorcycles takes sustainability into account by using aluminium and natural fibers instead of plastic material, with 90% of components produced in Italy.
