Source: press release Zero Motorcycles | EICMA, the internationally renowned two-wheeler fair, returns to the halls of Fiera Milano in Rho. The official poster of the event captures the imagination: an image designed by Italian illustrator Victor Togliani, inspired by Futurism and designed to bring about dynamism, avant-garde and emotion. Three values that Zero Motorcycles fully recognizes itself in. It is also the common thread running through the selection of motorcycles that the California manufacturer has decided to display at the event: powerful motorcycles, technologically advanced and above all a real pleasure to ride.

Over the years, Zero Motorcycles has been able to establish itself stronger and stronger in all markets in which it is active. This is due to a rising demand for electric vehicles, but also thanks to an R&D department that is constantly looking for innovative, groundbreaking technology and solutions. This makes the company the source of electric mobility revolutions, especially thanks to the technological innovations they have achieved.

One example is the 2022 Zero SR. This absolute queen of the Zero booth represents a milestone for the Santa Cruz company. The updated model heralds the birth of a new range of technologically advanced models equipped with an expandable battery pack, among many other configuration options. The advanced Cypher III+ control system (standard on the new 2022 SR/F, SR/S and SR) gives Zero riders the ability to customize their bike’s performance like never before. The new Cypher Store (a digital platform for on-demand updates of various functions on the Zero models) makes it possible to take advantage of several interesting additional features.

Accessible via the website www.zeromotorcycles.com/cypherstore or via the Zero mobile app, the platform represents a huge leap forward in connectivity for the motorcycle industry. Above all, it represents an incredible advantage for motorcyclists who can now completely customize their motorcycle to their personal needs.

SPECIAL GUEST MODELS AT THE ZERO STAND

In addition to its evolved offering for 2022, Zero Motorcycles will also present four iconic and unique models that embody the values and intentions of the Californian brand. Read more about the models below and what makes them so unique.

Personalization and Customization

Every motorcyclist has the silent desire to be on the road with something exclusive. And Zero Motorcycles has always responded to that. The most impressive expression of exclusivity is undoubtedly the first fully custom Zero SR/S of 2020, built by designer Michael “Woolie” Woolaway of Deus ex Machina headquarters in Venice Beach. A masterpiece of style, the design showcases a state-of-the-art electric motorcycle tucked into a vintage classic shape and finish. The unique piece is not for sale, but is a symbol of Zero’s desire to stand out from the crowd. After a European tour around its existence, the Deus bike returns to Milan as the first eye-catcher on the Zero stand. An engine that will undoubtedly attract the attention of the EICMA public present.

Adventure and travel

Zero’s second special guest at the EICMA is the DSR Black Forest Edition. This authentic globetrotter, an electric touring motorcycle designed by Zero, played the main role in the story of the 2019 AfricaX project. Thomas Jakel and Dulcie Mativo drove through the African continent. During their 15,000 km trip spread over six months, they made contact with changemakers and innovators in the different countries they crossed. They then made a documentary of that trip with which they want to motivate and inspire future entrepreneurs from those countries. Thomas Jakel will be present during the event to explain more about the project and to demonstrate that it is perfectly possible to travel with an electric motorcycle. Far to travel.

Fun and performance

Driving a Zero is all about performance and fun. The California brand likes to reflect that with the European version of the SR/F used by Zero Motorcycles at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb motorcycle race in 2019. This streetfighter with an electric heart also features on the Zero stand at EICMA and has been transformed into a racing model that is unparalleled. In Europe, Dale Robinson, Country Manager of Zero Motorcycles UK, piloted the race bike. A racer for many years, Dale achieved impressive results with this bike during the Gamma Racing Day test sessions (the first race organized by the Open Electric Superbike in Assen). The SR/F thus gained a lead of 7 seconds over all other electric motorcycles.

Police Force Motorcycles

The last special model at the Zero booth is the SR/S decked out in police uniform. Bertazzoni Veicoli Speciali equipped this model with his equipment. The company, based in Collechio in the province of Parma, specializes in customizing vehicles for specific purposes. Zero Motorcycles offers electric motorcycles for law enforcement and security teams. The models have customized options to maximize deployability during a variety of patrol activities. Zero engines for police and security firms are a green alternative and also offer advantages over their combustion engine counterparts. This allows the agents to concentrate on patrolling without having to disconnect or switch gears. Electric motors also allow maneuvering in demanding situations where technical skills and performance require it. In addition, the absence of exhaust fumes and noise is also an absolute advantage for operations near crowds or in enclosed spaces. This offers scope to improve existing operation scenarios or to allow for new scenarios

Zero expects you during EICMA to discover all models: Hall 13, booth M58
