Stark Future has lifted the covers on the VARG MX 1.2, the next evolution of its category-defining electric motocross bike. More refined, more connected, and more performance-driven than ever, the new 1.2 model is a clear statement: the electric revolution in off-road riding is accelerating fast.
What’s new? Nearly everything.
At the core is the same brutal performance the original VARG is known for, up to 80 hp and a staggering 973 Nm at the wheel, but this version dials in improvements across the board: drivetrain efficiency, chassis feel, battery capacity, and smart features that turn the VARG into more than just a motorbike, it’s a connected platform for performance.
Smarter power, fully adjustable
The updated Stark powertrain still eclipses conventional 450cc combustion bikes in raw output but brings with it on-the-fly adjustability, from 10 hp to 80 hp , letting riders tailor power delivery, engine braking, and throttle response via the onboard Arkenstone smart device.
Arkenstone + Laps: the smartest ‘display’ yet
Forget simple dashboards: Arkenstone is a military-grade Android device integrated into the cockpit. It connects riders to everything from real-time power map changes to GPS-based lap timing, thanks to the new ‘Laps’ feature co-developed with a top-tier map provider. Think: telemetry, terrain navigation, and pace tracking, right on your bars.
Ride further, ride harder
The new 7.2 kWh battery boosts range by up to 20%, housed in a magnesium honeycomb case that doubles as a structural frame component. With an updated motor offering better thermal efficiency, riders can expect faster, a full day of motos — without overheating or range anxiety.
Built for real-world racing
From concept to production, the VARG MX 1.2 has been developed under the watch of Sébastien Tortelli, two-time world champion and Stark’s Racing Director. The updates reflect feedback from global testing across 50+ countries, and the rigors of elite racing programs.

Motocross legend Kevin Windham, renowned for his flawless technique and deep understanding of bike feel, added after testing the bike: “I’ve ridden everything there is to ride, and this is the future.” Windham praised the bike’s instant power, natural balance, and how quickly it felt familiar, even after decades on gas machines. “It’s responsive, it’s predictable, and you can focus on riding instead of managing a machine. I could see this being the new normal sooner than people think.”

- Redesigned chain guide with 266% more lateral stiffness and minimal 7 % weight gain
- Lap mode, which will also be made available in all existing bikes in the next few months
- New improved inner tubes, which significantly improved durability
- New Stark Arkenstone Phone and docking station, with better connectivity, speed, brightness and clamping system
- New gearbox, lighter and higher efficiency

- The new high-strength steel alloy frame is 0.9 kg lighter with refined flex around the shock mount area. This enhances feedback, rider comfort, and control.
- The KYB suspension system has also been retuned with updated mid-valve shim stacks, 310mm of travel, and selectable spring rates based on rider weight, something no other OEM offers today.
Personalization & performance options
From tires to grip levels, the 1.2 is designed to fit a broad range of riders:
- Choose between Dunlop MX34 or Pirelli MX32
- Seat options: Standard, Grip, or SuperGrip
- Optional titanium bolt kit saves 900g
- Brembo brakes, configurable for foot or bar control
