Stark VARG SM Sköll: 500-unit limited edition

Stark Future has introduced the VARG SM Sköll, a numbered limited edition capped at 500 units and built on the existing VARG SM platform. The Sköll carries the full ALPHA specification – 80 hp with tunable Dynamic Traction Control – and adds titanium hardware plus a full blackout treatment. At a claimed 123.4 kg, it becomes the lightest VARG SM variant to date.

UPDATE!!

Barcelona, 29 September 2026 – Stark Future has confirmed that the VARG SM Sköll, a limited edition of 500 road-legal electric supermotos, was fully allocated in under 48 hours. Orders opened worldwide at 11:00 CET on Wednesday 16 September. By Friday 18 September, every Sköll had been spoken for, with no second production run.

Stark withheld the “Gone in 48hrs” press release until today, following the September 20 premiere of the film “VARG SM Sköll – Terramar We broke Another record”. The release documents the VARG SM Sköll claiming the outright lap record at the Autòdrom de Sitges-Terramar, previously held by Carlos Sainz.

Same platform, no new architecture

The Sköll is not a new model. It keeps the VARG SM’s core chassis, the structural 7.2 kWh battery pack, the single-speed drive system, and the carbon-fibre-sleeved motor with integrated inverter. What changes is limited to weight, specification level, and finish.

Where the weight comes off

The reduction comes entirely from titanium components rather than any redesign of the chassis or drivetrain. 3D-printed titanium footpegs shave 140 g off the standard OEM parts, and a full titanium bolt kit removes another 900 g. Combined, that’s a 1.1 kg (2.4 lb) cut, bringing claimed weight down from 124.5 kg on the standard VARG SM to 123.4 kg.

Because the savings sit in controls and fasteners rather than unsprung or rotating mass, wheel control and damping behaviour are unaffected. The lower overall mass instead reduces vehicle inertia, which Stark says sharpens agility in quick transitions and makes it easier to lift the front wheel.

Blackout finish, with one exception

Nearly every component that can take a stealth treatment does, through a mix of anodizing, powder-coating, and deep-black processes. That covers the upper and lower triple clamps, steering stem and retaining nut, swingarm, motor housing and side covers, inverter body and casing, docking station, handlebar map switch, and charging port cap. The top and bottom triple clamps are black-anodized and carry the limited-edition engraving.

The one component left untouched is the 520 RK MXU ultra-wide-ring chain, which keeps its gold finish against a 7075 T6 rear sprocket – a deliberate contrast rather than an oversight.

Availability

Production is capped at 500 units worldwide with no planned second run. First deliveries are scheduled for October 2026.
