Source: press release Tarform | After the release of the Tarform Luna, a high-end electric motorcycle that has raised the bar for both design and sustainability, Tarform introduced its second EV motorcycle, the Tarform Vera.
The Tarform Luna has gained recognition for its one-of-a-kind design and environmentally-friendly building techniques. It has been showcased at prestigious locations and occasions, such as the Petersen Automotive Museum and The Barber Collection. Lewis Hamilton even took it for a ride during an interview with the Wall Street Journal. FastCo has listed it as one of the top 10 solutions for transportation, while the New York Times has hailed it as “The Motorcycle of Tomorrow.”
Responding to the strong demand for a higher volume production model, Tarform is excited to introduce the Vera. Priced at $16,000, the Vera is engineered as an all-around street and scrambler motorcycle, offering an exhilarating performance with a 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 85+ mph, and a 100 mile range, all while maintaining a lightweight profile at 360 lbs.
Due to the high demand for a more widely available model, Tarform is pleased to present the Vera. With a price tag of $16,000, the Vera is designed to be an all-around street and scrambler motorcycle, delivering an exciting ride with the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 85 mph. Despite its impressive performance capabilities, the Vera remains lightweight at only 360 lbs and can travel up to 100 miles on a single charge.
With its focus on meeting the needs of urban riders and weekend trail enthusiasts, the Vera represents a significant step towards Tarform’s goal of revolutionizing transportation through a combination of power, style, and commitment to the environment.
Tarform’s modular drivetrain is supported by a lightweight aluminum frame in the design of the Vera, providing both durability and flexibility for potential upgrades to the batterypack.
The vehicle comes equipped with top-of-the-line features, such as Brembo brakes and an optional Ohlins suspension upgrade. It also includes 17″ aluminum wheels for both the front and rear of the motorbike.
The Vera uses a direct-drive system, which eliminates the need for a gearbox and provides a smooth riding experience. This is in line with Tarform’s design philosophy of modularity, allowing for upgrades to the battery and motor as technology improves. By doing so, the motorcycle’s lifespan is extended, and waste is reduced.
In addition to cutting-edge performance, the Vera is equipped with over-the-air (OTA) updates and connectivity features, including Bluetooth and 4G for health monitoring, remote updates, and access to statistics through the Tarform mobile app.
True to Tarform’s ethos, Vera prioritizes sustainability. Its top body panel is crafted from plant-based composites, and the seat upholstery is made from a bio-based alternative to vinyl, reducing the use of toxic materials and waste.
