Source: press release Scarponi Motorcycles | The new Italian company on the electric motorbike scene, Tomahawk srl with its Scarponi Motorcycles brand, has finally completed its range of motorbikes after several months of development. The new models presented by the company will be available from 16 December 2021 on the crowdfunding platform INDIEGOGO.

The first new models will be released in 2022, with the following names: RINASCITA PK, GRAVITY PK, DENSITY PK. The Italian company will unveil these motorbikes today on the American crowdfunding platform INDIEGOGO, and in the coming weeks a promotional tour will be introduced.

All electric motorbikes are equipped with an innovative system developed and patented by SCARPONI ENGINEERING called V.S.S. (Virtual Switch System). V.S.S. is an energy regeneration system consisting of an electronic circuit combining a mosfet transistor, an IGBT coil and rebored diodes, all interconnected and connected to the electric motor. The V.S.S. uses the motor as a generator and battery charging system and can actively control the energy flowing through the battery.

In doing so, it acts as a ‘traditional’ gearbox, allowing the control of a mechanical gearbox on an electric vehicle and obtaining a series of benefits on energy management and braking ability. This innovative system aims to increase the performance of vehicles and make them much more fun and responsive to drive, as the motorbike sector is also characterised by these aspects, which the patent now allows.

SP-RINASCITA | A unique riding experience

The character of the SP-RINASCITA is also and above all evident in its sleek lines inspired by the brilliance of its performance. Its agility and extraordinary manoeuvrability make it a capable “compact” capable of offering unique driving sensations, without going unnoticed and in full respect of the surrounding environment. The SP-RINASCITA concept is inspired by the tradition of Italian motorbikes, with the aim of guiding towards the transition to electric propulsion while leaving unchanged the typical emotions and sensations of traditional two-wheelers.

SC-DENSITY | Personality meets strength

The SC-DENSITY concept is inspired by the tradition of Italian motorbikes, with the aim of guiding towards the transition to electric propulsion while leaving the emotions and sensations typical of traditional two-wheelers unaltered. In this case, the riding position of this original Scrambler interpretation accentuates the typically high Off- Road setting, to give the rider greater attention and control of the road and urban traffic.
A City-Bike that does not renounce sprinting and performance while still meeting the necessary safety requirements.

CR-GRAVITY | A sporty heart in a slightly … retro

A technological motorbike with a strong personality in which the sporty character is accentuated by the compact dimensions and agile chassis lines that guarantee handling and maximum riding pleasure. Throttle response is always prompt and well controlled. An original Café Racer in its reinterpretation; conceived and designed for a heterogeneous public, it is able to grant a lot to the less expert rider and at the same time to become quick and agile in the hands of those who feel able to demand all the aggressiveness of which it is capable.
