Volta introduced its first electric motorcycle in 2012 on the most important motor show in Europe, the EICMA in Milan. These modern, technologically advanced electric motorcycle is designed in Barcelona and also carries the name of the city. The Volta BCN comes in two versions: the City and the Sport.

Both engine variants have a top speed of 120 km/h and a range varying from 70 to 100 kilometers. The Volta BCN has a 34 hp / 25 kW DC electric motor similar in power with a 400 cc classic engine.

The transmission is via a maintenance-free transmission with belt drive. The torque is 67Nm and a 74V / 3.1 kWh Lithium Polymer battery can be fully charged from a standard 220V outlet in just 2 hours.

Both the BCN Sport as the BCN City has a weight of 135 kilograms and a seat height of 80.5 cm.

The Volta is a modern motorcycle which ensures sporty handling. This lightweight motorcycle has a low center of gravity and an impressive torque thanks to the constant high torque. The Volta BCN City is therefore extremely suitable for city driving.

The BCN Sport has three driving modes: Eco Mode, City Mode and Sport Mode. In Sport mode, the engine delivers additional power for even faster acceleration and extremely sporty driving.

The Sport version offers a sporty color design, LED indicators, a complete connectivity kit, Galfer wave discs, Sport saddle, Extra Sport Mapping preset, a control / Fatbar® of 28mm and a sports kit Rizoma.

There is enough room for a full face helmet which has a connection for charging a mobile phone.
