XYTE Mobility to launch helmet-free “XYTE ONE” electric scooter at IAA 2025
Source: press release XYTE Mobility GmbH | Munich is about to witness the debut of a radically different kind of electric scooter. At IAA Mobility 2025, German startup XYTE Mobility GmbH will unveil its first model, the XYTE ONE, a three-wheeled electric scooter that puts rider safety front and center.

The official reveal is set for Monday, September 8 at 11:00 AM (Hall B2, Booth D101), where founder Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart will introduce the scooter alongside designer Erik Goplen, who shaped its distinctive design language.

A new category of scooter
The XYTE ONE takes a bold approach by integrating a protective safety cell, allowing riders to legally operate the vehicle without a helmet using a standard European Class B (car) license. XYTE claims this makes it the world’s safest electric scooter, combining the accessibility of a scooter with the protection of a small car.
Key specs

XYTE is targeting urban commuters who want the agility of a scooter without compromising on protection or comfort.

Leadership and vision
Dr. Ziebart, a seasoned automotive executive with decades of experience at major carmakers, emphasized the scooter’s role in shaping a new kind of city mobility: “With the XYTE ONE, we are setting a new benchmark for safe, sustainable, and stylish urban mobility. It is more than just an electric scooter, it is a new category of vehicle.”

Designer Erik Goplen, who has previously worked on high-profile automotive projects, will also shed light on how the scooter blends functionality with a striking visual identity.

Why it matters
Urban mobility is evolving rapidly, but safety often lags behind speed and convenience. With the XYTE ONE, XYTE Mobility is betting that riders will embrace a scooter that not only runs clean but also feels secure, even without a helmet.
The world premiere at IAA will mark XYTE Mobility’s official entry into the competitive electric mobility space, and all eyes will be on how the XYTE ONE performs once it hits European streets.
