Press release | Barcelona, 10 January 2019 | Silence, the Spanish manufacturer of 100% electric moped and motorcycles of 2 and 3 wheels (located in Barcelona), placed itself in 2018 as the absolute leader in the electric mobility sector, in terms of registrations. Throughout the year, Silence has been manufactured more than 3000 scooters, 2083 of which have been registered in Spain. This quantity represents more than 60% of the total market share of the electric motorcycles sector. This fact places SILENCE as the brand that has put more electric vehicles on the Spanish streets this 2018.

According to data provided by AEDIVE, an Spanish association to promote electric mobility, during 2018 Spain has registered 6132 electric cars (49,34% more than 2017) and 3352 e-motorcycles (30,43% more than the previous year). While until now SILENCE has been manufacturing models exclusively designed for corporate, municipalities and sharing Fleets, this 2019, SILENCE is planning to reach the B2C Market with the S01.

SILENCE has closed 2018 tripling its turnover, going from 4 to 14 million Euros; an exceptional growth that the company predicts that will continue to be so with the release of the S01, and the expansion of the international distribution network.
S01, the electric scooter with 125 cc performance
During 2019 SILENCE will start the production of the S01, an electric scooter performance as an 125cc, and with a removable and transportable battery “like a trolley”, which aim is to increase the production from 3000 scooters manufactured in 2018 to more than 7000 units.
