Ultraviolette unveils the X-47 Crossover: the world’s first radar-integrated electric motorcycle
Indian EV pioneer Ultraviolette has taken the wraps off its latest creation: the X-47 Crossover, a motorcycle that not only extends the brand’s aviation-inspired DNA but also breaks new ground as the world’s first production bike equipped with integrated radar technology as standard.
Positioned as a global product, the X-47 blends everyday practicality with long-distance touring capability, while introducing a level of rider safety and intelligence rarely seen in two-wheelers.

A step beyond the F77
Following the success of the F77, Ultraviolette’s flagship electric sportbike, the X-47 is the company’s third international market launch. With upright ergonomics, abundant torque, and a built-in onboard charger, the Crossover is designed for versatility, equally at home in urban commutes as it is on extended journeys.

“Our vision with the X-47 was to reimagine the entire riding experience,” said Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and co-founder of Ultraviolette. “This is the first motorcycle to feature integrated radar and camera systems, setting a new benchmark in intelligent safety and rider awareness.”

UV Radar Intelligence: rider safety gets smarter
At the heart of the X-47’s innovation is UV HyperSense, a radar-based rider assistance suite powered by a 77 GHz rear radar with a range of up to 200 meters. Specifically engineered for motorcycle dynamics, the system compensates for lean angles up to 20 degrees and delivers four safety features:
- Blind Spot Monitoring: Alerts riders to fast-approaching vehicles in blind zones
- Lane Change Assist: Warns of potential collisions when initiating a lane change
- Overtake Alert: Monitors vehicles approaching from the rear in adjacent lanes
- Rear Collision Warning: Detects threats of rear-end collisions and automatically triggers hazard lights
This makes Ultraviolette the first manufacturer to introduce radar-powered Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) on two wheels.

Built-in charger and smart dashcam
The in-house developed onboard charger is claimed to be the world’s most power-dense air-cooled unit, capable of delivering full output even in extreme heat (45°–50°C). Safety features include surge protection and EMI/EMC filtration.
Another standout feature is the integrated dual-camera dashcam system, with 1080p HDR wide-angle front and rear cameras, IP67 protection, loop recording, crash-detection video lock, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, and a dedicated 5-inch secondary display with up to 256GB storage.

Rider aids and intelligent controls
The X-47 further packs advanced electronic rider aids, including:
- 9-level regenerative braking with dynamic modulation
- 3-level traction control
- Dynamic Stability Control (UV DSC) with dual-channel ABS
- Hill Hold Assist for stress-free stability on inclines
Adding to the experience is VIOLETTE A.I., Ultraviolette’s connected tech suite offering features like movement, fall, and towing alerts, remote lockdown, crash alerts, Delta Watch, and anti-collision warnings.
Global debut at EICMA 2025
The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover will make its international debut at EICMA 2025 in Milan (Hall 7P, Stand U47). Technical specifications for the European market will be revealed during the show but we have already found these specifications:

With the X-47, Ultraviolette is positioning itself not only as a maker of high-performance EVs but also as a leader in intelligent, safety-first electric mobility on a global scale.
