Voyager Design study: a bold reinterpretation of the Trevor DTRe Stella
The Voyager Design study is the latest independent creative project to capture attention in the world of electric motorcycles. Conceived by designer Axel Mouchon, the study was not commissioned by Trevor Motorcycles BV, but instead represents his own vision of how the distinctive character of the DTRe Stella could be reimagined.
At its core, the project explores a radical minimalist aesthetic. The Voyager features refined bodywork with a stripped-down, futuristic look: a clean single-seat configuration, a compact windshield, an integrated charging port, and even a practical storage compartment.
Importantly, this is not a prototype and should not be mistaken as a preview of a future Trevor production model. Instead, the Voyager is an exercise in creativity, an external designer’s interpretation of how the DTRe Stella’s design DNA could be expressed in a new and unexpected way.
The Voyager Design Study follows in the footsteps of another successful reinterpretation: the one-off custom created by British design studio Veridis (Otis West & Luke Robbins), which was based on a Trevor racebike and first showcased at the BIKE SHED MOTO CO Show in London earlier this year. Both projects highlight how the Trevor platform inspires designers to push the boundaries of imagination.
Meanwhile, Trevor Motorcycles itself continues to move forward. The Belgian brand has just opened orders for the MY26 Trevor DTRe Vince, the first motorcycle to be fully designed in-house by Trevor founders Jeroen-vincent Nagels and Philippe Stella.
The Voyager may not make it to production, but it celebrates innovation and sparks inspiration, reminding us that the electric motorcycle movement is as much about creativity as it is about performance.
