Phased rollout

The launch runs city by city. Bengaluru in India came first, followed by Paris and then London. Royal Enfield says the European and UK rollout will be phased, with the sales and service network taking priority over speed of expansion. Each dealer location, which the company calls a drop zone, comes with 24/7 monitoring systems and a dedicated service infrastructure.

B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, says early riders in India logged more than 100,000 customer-ridden kilometres in the first three months after launch. He describes the C6 as the first step towards a new category of electric mobility for the company, with more products to follow.

Seen first in Milan

THE PACK was at the start of this story. In November 2024, ahead of EICMA, Royal Enfield invited us to the pre-launch event where Flying Flea was introduced as a separate electric brand. The presentation took place at Officine del Volo in Milan, a former aviation workshop, where we saw the first unveiling of the C6. At the time the bike was announced for sale only in 2026, and the same range also included a scrambler-style S6 variant. That delivery date has now arrived.

Specifications

The C6 uses a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion battery in a magnesium alloy casing, cooled by air. The motor delivers 15.4 kW peak power at 3,500 rpm and 60 Nm of maximum torque. Top speed is 115 km/h (72 mph). WMTC range is 104 km (65 miles).

Charging is possible from a standard 16 Amp wall outlet. Fast charging is supported through the high-voltage architecture. Royal Enfield quotes 20 to 80 percent in just over 60 minutes, which it translates to roughly 1 km of range per minute of charging. Riders can select Rapid, Standard or Trickle charging, the last one aimed at battery longevity. The bike also has regenerative braking, lean-angle ABS and traction control.

Design

The C6 draws on the original Flying Flea, the lightweight motorcycle of the 1940s. It has an exoskeleton frame in forged aluminium and a forged aluminium girder fork, which Royal Enfield says no other motorcycle on the market currently uses. The battery casing carries fins that twist and merge into a wing-shaped scoop at the centre. The front fins are meant to represent modern technology and the rear fins the brand’s heritage.

Three colours are offered: Flea Green, Storm Black (gloss and matte black with a Royal Enfield signature colour accent) and Parachute White (warm white with black detailing and blue accents). Practical details include a removable pillion setup and adjustable footpegs.

Software and controls

The bike runs Fleaware OS, Royal Enfield’s own adaptation of Android Automotive OS, alongside the Flying Flea Mobile App. The system learns from rider behaviour and receives over-the-air updates. The round touchscreen TFT display is operated with a joystick and dedicated home and back buttons. Royal Enfield calls the rotary ride mode switch an industry first. Other features include cruise control, voice assist, a programmable button, remote monitoring, connected navigation and a kill switch.

Positioning

Royal Enfield presents the C6 as an alternative to conventional e-bikes for urban riding. Its performance figures put it in the light electric motorcycle segment rather than the e-bike category. Bookings for the FF.C6 open at £5,300 in the UK, and €5,990 across Europe.
