BRABUS and DAB Motors unveil three electric motorcycles at Milan Design Week

German luxury tuner BRABUS has entered the electric motorcycle market through a partnership with French manufacturer DAB Motors, revealing a three-model collection at Milan Design Week 2026 on April 21. Our Italian THE PACK team was at Milan Design Week and saw this collaboration in real life.

The collaboration came about after a chance meeting between BRABUS CEO Constantin Buschmann and DAB Motors founder Simon Dabadie at the Monaco Yacht Show. The result is a range of three fully electric urban motorcycles, all built on DAB’s 1α platform.

“This is not a traditional collaboration; it is the progressive construction of a shared vision,” says Simon Dabadie, Founder of DAB Motors. “Both brands share the same refusal to compromise and the ambition to create rather than to follow. The DAB 1⍺ platform provided the perfect foundation to push the boundaries of what an urban commuter can be.”

Technical specifications

All three bikes share the same core powertrain: a 72-volt lithium-ion battery with 7.1 kWh capacity, a carbon belt drive, and a top speed electronically limited to 120 km/h (75 mph). Claimed urban range is up to 150 km (93 miles). Charging from 50% to full takes around 1.5 hours; a full charge from empty takes under four hours from a standard home socket or Type 2 point.

The seat is upholstered in Alcantara with grey stitching. Power output is 31 hp (23 kW) with 395 Nm of torque at the wheel.

The URBAN E is described as the first-ever BRABUS electric motorcycle. An upgraded inverter and revised motor mapping boost performance by up to 20% over the base DAB 1α, bringing output to 37 hp (27.6 kW) and 475 Nm at the wheel. The bodywork adds bespoke carbon-fiber air cooling ducts and rear winglets, carbon wheel covers, an illuminated BRABUS logo, and dual LED strips integrated into the air intakes. The seat is finished in red leather with a quilted pattern.

“We’re entering a fascinating new segment together with DAB Motors and there’s no better place to do it than Milan Design Week,” explains Constantin Buschmann, CEO and owner of BRABUS. “This event is one of the defining hotspots for tech-forward design and so the perfect stage for us to yet again open up the world of BRABUS to an entirely new range of customers in typical ‘One-Second-Wow’ fashion.”

Riding modes

The VCU has been recalibrated with five riding modes, selectable via a 2.8-inch LCD display: Eco (top speed limited to 60 km/h), Street (full baseline power), Sport (unlocks the +20% URBAN E performance upgrade), Nitrous Boost (a 10-second overboost for overtaking), and Reverse (restricted torque for tight manoeuvres).

Chassis hardware includes a 46mm Paioli inverted fork, a custom CNC-machined rear shock, and a Brembo radial four-piston front caliper on a 320mm floating disc, with dual ABS.

Licensing and availability

All three models are classified as L3e-A1, the 125cc-equivalent category, meaning they can be ridden in most European countries with a standard car licence, subject to local training requirements. BRABUS notes that despite this classification, the electric powertrain delivers performance that significantly exceeds a conventional 125cc.

The bikes are available for international delivery to the EU, UK, Switzerland, and UAE, as well as select countries that recognise EU homologation.

The collection is on display at the BRABUS booth in Opificio 31, Tortona district, through April 26.
