In August 2020, Mostefa ABDOU founded Bymoss Electric Vehicles, a French company with the goal of converting well-known vehicles such as the Land Rover Defender into electric models. Inspired by his love for motorcycles, he also sought to offer electrification for iconic motorbikes and formed a partnership with Luuc Muis from LM Creations in The Netherlands (LMC is a design and engineering bureau that is specialised in automotive design and custom builds). As a passionate enthusiast for both cars and motorcycles, Mostefa wanted to be able to use these classic vehicles without any technical or regulatory restrictions.
In order to exclusively distribute electric BMW kits in France, Bymoss Electric has formed a partnership with LM Creations. However, before these kits can be sold in France, the French company must approve them through a homologation process, which is currently being validated by Bymoss Electric.
Bymoss Electric specializes in BMW conversions that retain a classic appearance, but they are also capable of transforming bikes into E-scramblers. Collaborating with Möbius Garage, Bymoss has brought the E-lectra model to life. Their goal is to preserve the iconic boxer engine’s signature while incorporating electric components seamlessly into the design. Utilizing 3D printing, they have created cylinders that maintain the original look of the bike.
At first glance, the bike appears to be just like any other combustion bike. The only giveaway is the absence of exhaust pipes. Bymoss Electric prides itself on retaining the authentic design elements of the past while incorporating an electric motor that represents the future. It’s a perfect fusion of both worlds – preserving the past and embracing the best technology for tomorrow.
Bymoss Electric has recently entered into a collaboration with Möbius Garage and Sebastien Beaupère. They have also joined forces with Benjamin Piannelli of “Atelier Piannelli” to design a new motorbike that will be revealed in September.
