Source: press release CAKE | CAKE announced the introduction of its new high performance electric IPM motor – the Jante. Designed from the ground up and utilizing the latest Internal Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor technology, the Jante delivers unprecedented efficiency, power and reliability that aims to revolutionize performance standards of lightweight electric motorcycles. With a lightweight but robust construction, featuring an aircraft-grade aluminum housing and dual-bearing shaft, the Jante motor is designed for optimized performance in lightweight electric vehicles. Allowing low and high voltage drivetrains to hit speeds over 100 km/h and torque numbers over 500 Nm on the rear wheel.
The Jante’s innovative design makes it CAKE’s most optimized IPM motor with radial flux for efficiency and power, low cogging that allows smooth acceleration and precision handling at low speeds, and its air-cooled system allows high torque at high RPM. The motor is rated at IP67 and allows it to operate in any condition.

The CAKE battery features fast-swapping technology that allows an easy exchange of batteries in sub 30-seconds without the need for tools, a significant benefit for racing activities. The Software in the Battery Management System (BMS) and Motor Driver meticulously ensures optimal efficiency as well as driver experience for both the battery and drivetrain.
