Eddie Karlsson makes history with electric podium at SuperEnduro GP of Poland
Source: social media Stark Future | The opening round of the SuperEnduro World Championship in Gliwice (Poland) delivered a landmark moment for motorsport history, as Eddie Karlsson secured third place riding the all-electric Stark VARG EX, marking the first-ever FIM World Championship podium for an electric enduro motorcycle.
In a sport traditionally dominated by high-revving combustion engines, Karlsson’s performance sent a powerful message about the future of off-road racing. Competing against the world’s best enduro riders, the Swedish racer demonstrated that electric technology is no longer experimental, it is competitive at the highest level.
Throughout the night, Karlsson showed impressive consistency, control, and pace aboard the Stark Future electric enduro machine, handling the technical Polish track with confidence. The instant torque delivery and silent aggression of the electric bike proved to be a real advantage in tight, technical sections, while its reliability across the races underlined the maturity of the technology.
Stark Future (via Instagram): “After tough starts in the opening races, Eddie kept pushing and climbed forward when it mattered. Race 2 saw him charge into P4 and hold it to the finish. Race 3 brought chaos, but Eddie launched into P2 early and controlled the race to finish P3. Toby Martyn fought through difficult starts and setbacks across the races, keeping it upright and bringing valuable points home.”
Finishing third overall, Karlsson not only claimed a podium spot but also rewrote SuperEnduro history, becoming the first rider to achieve such a result on a fully electric motorcycle in the championship.
