Graham Jarvis goes electric: inside the JARV-E hard enduro revolution
Graham Jarvis has spent a lifetime riding where motorcycles are not supposed to survive. Vertical rock faces, endless boulder fields, balance sections measured in millimetres, terrain that destroys ordinary machines and exposes every weakness in design.
Now, the most decorated Hard Enduro rider in history is turning that relentless pursuit of perfection toward something entirely new: a purpose-built electric hard enduro motorcycle.

Meet JARV-E: the first electric hard enduro motorbike engineered from the ground up specifically for real Hard Enduro and Trial-Enduro riding, developed by Graham Jarvis alongside Austrian engineer and chassis specialist David Freidinger.
This is not an electric conversion. It’s not a concept sketch. It’s a fully functioning, race-ready platform shaped by years of riding, testing, and refinement in the world’s most unforgiving terrain.
Designed by a rider who knows what hard enduro demands
Jarvis didn’t just lend his name to the project, he shaped every millimeter of it.
From chassis balance and geometry to torque delivery and regenerative braking, the JARV-E reflects the sensitivity and precision that made Jarvis virtually unbeatable in technical terrain. The bike is designed to excel in modern extreme enduro: slow-speed control, traction on impossible climbs, balance moves, and precision where momentum alone isn’t enough.

- 21″ / 18″ Hard-Enduro race spec wheel setup
- Chromoly race frame
- Revolutionary battery quick-swap system that lets you change batteries in around 30 seconds
- Sirris F43 High Performance suspension
- Custom CNC-milled swingarm and triple clamps
Unlike existing electric off-road machines, JARV-E uses the full potential of modern electric drivetrains, turning instant torque and programmable power delivery into a smooth, controllable race platform rather than something aggressive and unpredictable.
Key to that philosophy is adjustability. JARV-E offers more tuning options than any electric enduro bike currently available, allowing riders to tailor chassis feel, throttle response, regen strength, and ergonomics to suit both terrain and riding style.
Purpose-built geometry for extreme riding
The JARV-E 2026 is the first electric motorcycle engineered specifically with Hard Enduro / Trial-Enduro geometry in mind.

Every design choice focuses on:
- Technical climbs
- Rock gardens and step-ups
- Balance-intensive sections
- Modern extreme enduro race formats
With a claimed 45-degree climbing capability, the bike opens lines that would be physically punishing, or impossible, on conventional machines.
Despite its electric drivetrain, weight has been kept low at 95 kg, helping preserve the agility and finesse required for elite-level riding.
Quick-release battery system: built for real trails
Hard enduro doesn’t allow downtime, and JARV-E’s quick-release battery system reflects that reality. A depleted battery can be swapped in around 30 seconds, keeping riders moving through demanding terrain without extended stops.
Battery and charging highlights:
- 5.6 kWh battery
- Up to 5 hours of riding in Super Eco mode
- 3–4 hours in Mixed Enduro mode
- 1.5–2 hours in Fast Race mode
- 1.5 hours from empty to full with fast charging (3.4 kW)
- Battery retains 80% capacity after 500 charge cycles
Replacement battery packs are available and designed for easy installation, a crucial consideration for racers and serious riders alike.

Instant control via dedicated app
JARV-E places full control directly in the rider’s pocket through a dedicated smartphone app, giving instant access to the bike’s electronic brain.
App features include:
- Digital speedometer with real-time speed, battery level, and motor temperature
- Instant parameter adjustments, including:
- Power output
- E-clutch responsiveness
- Regenerative braking
- Pre-programmed riding modes, including a mode developed personally by Graham Jarvis
This level of control allows riders to adapt the bike instantly to changing terrain, from slippery rock to fast race sections, without tools or mechanical adjustments.

Built by two visionaries

Graham Jarvis – Hard enduro legend & development partner
Widely regarded as the greatest Hard Enduro rider of all time, Jarvis brings unmatched experience and sensitivity to the project:
- 7× Red Bull Romaniacs winner
- 5× Erzbergrodeo winner
- Multiple world championship podiums
Jarvis plays a central role in riding development, testing, race strategy, and the long-term vision of JARV-E. His ability to feel subtle changes in traction, mapping, regen behaviour, and chassis feedback shapes the bike in ways few riders ever could.
David Freidinger – Founder, engineer & technical vision
With nearly 20 years in motorsport across MX, Hard Enduro, and Quad-MX, Freidinger is a specialist in chassis fabrication and race-bike geometry.
Five years ago, he created the first EDURO electric enduro prototype, a lightweight, aggressive, purpose-built machine that evolved through years of real-world racing and testing.
When Jarvis encountered Freidinger’s already functioning electric prototype at a race event, the partnership formed instantly. Together, they founded JARV-E Moto GmbH to build the next generation of electric hard enduro motorcycles.

Practical details

Guy Salens – THE PACK: “We couldn’t find any official published total purchase price for the JARV-E 2026 electric hard enduro bike on the manufacturer’s website or in current press/pre-order listings. It appears that the price has not yet been publicly disclosed. The official site describes the pre-order process and down payment but doesn’t list a final retail figure.”

The future of Hard Enduro?
Electric motorcycles have promised much, but JARV-E may be the first to truly understand what hard enduro riders actually need. Built by a rider who has mastered the most brutal terrain on earth, and engineered by someone who understands race-level chassis design, JARV-E isn’t trying to replace petrol bikes. It’s redefining what’s possible when instant torque, precision control, and elite-level geometry come together. For hard enduro, the electric era may have just found its benchmark.
