Belgian motorcycle company Saroléa is making its debut in the speed pedelec sector. A full 120 years after the Saroléa 1905 motorized bicycle was introduced, the new LE60 expertly blends the brand’s storied past with modern technology. Boasting a range of over 100 km, a weight of just 26 kg, an integrated cockpit, a carbon frame, and a design that is both authentic and aerodynamic, this new e-bike is perfect for cycling aficionados looking for a distinct and powerful ride. As of today, the e-bike is available in a limited edition of sixty units through Saroléa’s online store.

Back in 1905, the renowned Belgian brand Saroléa began manufacturing motorized bicycles. Fast forward 120 years, and the Saroléa LE60 honors this legacy while ushering in a new era in the company’s storied history.

“The electric drivetrain may have taken the place of the combustion engine, but our core philosophy is unchanged,” states Bjorn Robbens, CEO of Saroléa. “We’ve invested all our knowledge and extensive experience in performance, comfort, propulsion, and carbon materials into this project. Furthermore, we’ve utilized the battery technology expertise gained in recent years through our sister company, C-Battery. The outcome is a specialized product that represents what Saroléa has represented for more than a hundred years: quality, high-tech engineering, and innovation.”

The Saroléa LE60 was created in partnership with the skilled team at Specter in Ghent. This e-bike is equipped with two motors that together provide a peak power of 1,200W, ensuring remarkable acceleration and excellent assistance in diverse situations like headwinds or steep hills.
“The power is provided by a 1,200 Wh battery built into the frame, which was developed internally,” says Kurt Fierens, COO at Saroléa. “The range can extend up to 130 km, depending on the assist mode and riding conditions. This impressive range, coupled with the bike’s exceptional stiffness and responsiveness, is achieved through the use of lightweight carbon material for the frame, fork, and battery holders. At just 26 kg, the LE60 is the lightest dual-motor pedelec available on the market.”

Connectivity
The speed pedelec features an integrated cockpit that shows all necessary information and includes built-in GPS, 4G connectivity, and a personal code lock for the bike. Users can adjust settings and view ride data through a smartphone app. Additionally, the cockpit offers personalized configurations, a wattage-based training program, and the ability to upload GPX route files.

Design
Saroléa has entirely tailored the bike’s design. It features a glossy black piano lacquer finish with gold accents, reflecting the brand’s long-standing tradition, exclusivity, and motorsport expertise since 1850. The bike’s authentic appearance is completed by the vintage-style Brooks carbon saddle and grips. Created for those who desire a combination of comfort, durability, and lightness, the saddle is handcrafted by Kontour and boasts tricolor stitching as a tribute to Saroléa’s national pride. For added comfort, the saddle can be optionally fitted on a Saroléa flex seat post, which offers superior comfort and shock absorption with its suspension design.

A product with a soul
With features like the stitched saddle, brass accents, hand-painted details, numbered plates, and titanium pedals, every element enhances the premium quality of this bike. Together with high quality components, the LE60 represents the ideal blend of innovation and authenticity.

“This is the image we aim to project, and we’ve learned from experience that it resonates with a particular audience. This e-bike is designed for cycling enthusiasts and collectors who seek a product with character, who wish to treasure it and become part of our journey. As a brand, we cultivate a strong bond with our customers and greatly appreciate how they engage with Saroléa and our bikes,” states Bjorn Robbens.
