Lambretta unveils the Elettra S: a classic icon enters the electric era

Lambretta continues its journey into electric mobility with the reveal of the Elettra S at EICMA 2025, following the debut of the original Elettra two years earlier. The new model, set to hit the market in the second half of 2026, reinforces the brand’s blend of Italian design heritage and forward-looking electric innovation.

From heritage to high voltage

The Elettra S represents Lambretta’s bold step into a new chapter of urban mobility. Retaining the unmistakable silhouette and steel body that have defined the brand for decades, the scooter now embraces a modern electric drivetrain to deliver both elegance and performance.

At its heart lies a 4 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, peaking at 6 kW and delivering an 101 Nm of torque. This setup propels the Elettra S from 0 to 40 km/h in just 10 seconds, with a top speed of 90 km/h, making it ideal for both city commuting and short-distance cruising.

Power and range

The scooter is powered by a 4.5 kWh NMC lithium battery, offering a range of up to 120 km on a single charge. Charging is straightforward: a full charge via a domestic outlet takes 5 hours and 40 minutes, while fast charging brings the battery from 20% to 80% in just over three hours.

Designed for modern streets

True to Lambretta’s design philosophy, the Elettra S combines sharp, dynamic front lines with a smooth, rounded rear, a nod to the brand’s vintage DNA. Full LED lighting, a distinctive tail light, and a high-resolution TFT display complete the contemporary aesthetic.

The Elettra S rides on a front tie-rod fork and a new rear monoshock, ensuring comfort and control across varied urban conditions. Despite its robust steel construction, the scooter maintains a lightweight 132 kg, contributing to agile handling and efficient performance.

Riding modes and features

The Elettra S includes three riding modes – Eco, Ride, and Sport – allowing riders to adapt performance and range to their needs. Combined with its advanced motor response and strong torque delivery, the scooter promises a dynamic yet refined riding experience.

Market launch and pricing

Scheduled for release in late 2026, the Lambretta Elettra S is expected to carry an indicative price of around €6,500.

With the Elettra family, Lambretta isn’t just electrifying its classic identity, it’s redefining what Italian urban mobility can be: stylish, sustainable, and unmistakably Lambretta.
