LiveWire starts production of S4 Honcho Trail and Street

LiveWire has started production of the S4 Honcho Trail and S4 Honcho Street, the company’s first lightweight, entry-level electric motorcycles, with first units set to reach authorised dealers this summer.

First shown as concepts at Harley-Davidson Homecoming in Milwaukee and EICMA in Milan, the S4 Honcho platform is designed to bring electric riding to a broader audience: targeting new riders, commuters, RV travellers, and urban commuters. Both variants qualify as 125cc-equivalent machines, meaning A1 licences in Europe and the UK and standard endorsements in the US.

The platform is built around dual removable batteries with a combined capacity of 3.48 kWh, offering up to 53 miles of range under WMTC testing or 73 miles at a constant 20 mph. A 20–80% charge takes around two hours on a standard 110V outlet. Top speed is 59 mph on both models, with 0–30 mph covered in three seconds.

Weighing 253 lbs (Trail) and 266 lbs (Street), both run 12-inch wheels, include reverse as standard, and offer seat heights of 32 and 31 inches respectively. Trail and Street versions are visually and functionally differentiated for their intended use cases.

Production is handled by KYMCO, with distribution running through Harley-Davidson’s international dealer network.

Pricing starts at $4,999 (€5,299) for the Trail and $5,499 (€5,699) for the Street, with global availability continuing to expand through the rest of 2026.
